SANDAKAN: The Marine Operation Force (MOF) here confiscated 1,130 turtle
eggs worth around RM2,500 in the waters of Kampung Forest yesterday.
According to
the commander of MOF Division 4, ACP Abdul Manaf Othman, the turtle eggs were
confiscated from a pump boat around 12.30am.
The boat skipper had fled the scene and left two sacks containing
the turtle eggs, believed for the market in Sandakan area.
The case will be investigated under the Wildlife Conservation
Enactment 1997.
